Detailed Project Overview – CCRO Plant Implementation in Qatar (2018)

In 2018, Grup Adel successfully delivered a comprehensive package of technology transfer, engineering services, and equipment supply for the implementation of a Closed Circuit Reverse Osmosis (CCRO) plant in Qatar, aimed at treating high-TDS process water in an industrial setting.
With a total project value of €500,000, this initiative marked a key milestone in advancing sustainable water treatment practices in the region.

The project was driven by the client’s need for a high-efficiency, low-energy desalination system capable of treating complex and mineral-rich process water streams. The CCRO technology, known for its superior recovery rates and operational flexibility, was selected as the core process solution.

Scope of Work

Grup Adel’s multidisciplinary involvement in this project included:

• Technology Transfer
  Facilitation and localization of advanced CCRO process technology from a reputable international technology owner, ensuring optimal performance and long-term operational stability under local conditions.

• Equipment Supply
  Procurement and delivery of all major process equipment, including high-pressure pumps, membrane modules, instrumentation, and control systems — in full compliance with project specifications and international quality standards.

• Engineering Services
  Provision of both basic and detailed engineering design, including process modeling, P&ID development, equipment layout, and integration plans tailored to the client’s existing utility and space constraints.

• Technical Consultation and Optimization Support
  Ongoing collaboration with the client and technology partner to refine system design, ensure constructability, and prepare for smooth commissioning and operation.
